HKFC Senior Athlete Summer Development Week 2
Monday 20th July – Friday 24th July 2:00pm-5:00pm
Age Groups:
U13-U18 Boys and Girls
Coaches:
Izzy Littlehailes, Kai Stroem, James Pollard, Callum McFeat Smith, Lori Cramer
5 days a week, 3 hours a day:
Day 1: Basic skill development and game understanding
Day 2: Attacking foundations, passing selection, footwork & evasion, kicking selection
Day 3: Defensive foundations, tackle technique, body positioning, dominant contact area
Day 4: Intermediate rugby, turnover technique, reaction & decision making, excelling under pressure
Day 5: Competition day, put all you’ve learnt to the test!
Time Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
1:50pm – Arrival at training triangle (Outdoor gym Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
2:00pm – Trainers on and in the gym for session start
3:00pm – Gym ends, boots on and transition into on pitch
4:45pm – Finish the session with some competitions
5:00pm – End of Development Session
Time Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday
1:50pm – Arrival at HKFC main pitch, sunscreen applied and water bottles filled
2:00pm – Boots on and training begins
3:00pm – Snack/hydration break
3:15pm – Back on pitch for second half of session
4:00pm – Head upstairs to the meeting room for educational talk (Rugby analysis, Sport psychology, Nutritional education, Prehab/rehab physio preparation, S&C education ect.).
5:00pm – End of Development Session
Please bring a water bottle, a snack, a hat, rugby boots and sunscreen!
