Youth Rugby Programme Review
HKFC YOUTH RugbyOVERVIEW
About the review
Our aim is to ensure every young player at HKFC has a safe, fair and consistent experience, and that families and coaches have clarity on how the programme is run. The review covers coaching standards and roles, player selection, safeguarding, and communication with families.
The 2026/27 season is being run as a pilot of this approach. Progress will be reviewed at set points throughout the season, and the programme refined where needed.
OBJECTIVES
- Establish consistent coaching standards and clearly defined roles across all age groups.
- Ensure player selection is fair, transparent and free from conflicts of interest.
- Strengthen safeguarding requirements for everyone who coaches children.
- Provide a clear process for raising and resolving concerns.
- Keep families informed, with all policies available in one place.
