This weekend sees HKFC Rugby athletes competing in both Hong Kong and abroad, for Hong Kong China representative teams:

Today sees Hong Kong China Women’s 7s kick off their Olympic repechage campaign against Paraguay – their last chance to qualify for the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Agnes Chan follows up a strong campaign with the 15s team, with an appearance in the 12-woman squad for the tournament.

Hong Kong China Men’s 7s will follow suit on Saturday, as they face Brazil, followed up by a tough matchup against Spain on Saturday night. HKFC players Mike Coverdale and Max Denmark have been selected, with Jevon Groves as Head Coach.

Back in Hong Kong, HKFC hosts international rugby again as Hong Kong China Rugby men’s XV team take on South Korea in the finale of the Asia Rugby Championship. A win for Hong Kong China would see them lift the trophy once more, with 8 HKFC players hoping to help contribute to that:
Josh Hrstich captains the side and starts at 6.
– HKFC Centurion Johnnie McCormick-Houston starts at hooker, in what will be his last match for Hong Kong China.

Let’s get behind our Hong Kong China teams – see you at HKFC this weekend!
