Cheryl Gourley, Director at Crane Capital

Cheryl started playing rugby 11 years ago when she relocated to Hong Kong to start her career as an Architect. As a late comer to rugby, aged 25, Cheryl started playing the sport to meet news friends, and it was an natural transition from competing at National level for Taekwondo from the age of six. After four years of practice and passion playing at HKCC, Cheryl then started playing for Ice at HKFC.

By day, Cheryl is now a Director in a Private Equity Real Estate fund overseeing $50M of developments across Asia. A typically male-dominated industry, Cheryl uses her confidence and strength from rugby to tackle and overcome any challenges.

Christy Cheng, Personal Trainer & Hong Kong 7s Ambassador

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Christy started playing rugby at the age of 20. She then went on to have an illustrious international career, captaining Hong Kong in both 15s and 7s, playing at 3 Asian Games, and featuring at the 2017 Rugby World Cup in Hong Kong’s first ever appearance. Christy joined Ice this season.

Having recently retired from being a full-time professional athlete after giving birth, she now juggles being a full-time mum and full-time personal trainer. She is doing lots to feed back into Hong Kong Rugby’s growth through her strength & conditioning role with Hong Kong’s U20s Boys, as well as acting as an Ambassador for the Hong Kong Sevens in 2022 & 2023.

Georgia Cutt, Exercise Physiologist at Joint Dynamics

Georgia Cutt is a woman in sports through profession and also practice. She’s been playing rugby league and union since the age of 11 and came to Hong Kong as an import in 2020 for HKFC and has never looked back.

Georgia is an Exercise Physiologist and specialist Women’s trainer at Hong Kong’s first ever Women’s Health Clinic, Joint Dynamics Evolve. She’s involved in helping women through all stages of life in what is an incredibly rewarding role – working with Women who are athletes, prenatal, postnatal, menopause, and improving life with chronic diseases.

Danielle Roman, Partner at Mourant Ozannes (Hong Kong) Ltd

Danielle is a Spartan Race ambassador for Hong Kong and competes in obstacle course racing. She strives to be a great role model to her 3 kids (who all play rugby) and in her professional career as a Partner at Mourant, a leading offshore law firm.

At Mourant, Danielle is one of three global Inclusion Sponsoring Partners and actively mentors a number of female associates. She has a leadership role in developing and implementing Mourant’s ambitious diversity and inclusion strategy. She is the Local Practice Leader of the Banking and Finance team, having practised in Asia for over 17 years.
