We are pleased to announce that Andrew Durutalo has signed a contract to become our new Director of Rugby Operations.

About Andrew

Andrew has been a professional rugby player for several years, representing the USA Eagles in both 7s and 15s at the Olympics and the World Cup. He has competed at the highest levels in Super Rugby and the English Premiership. Educated in Japan and the UK, Andrew is fluent in Japanese and iTaukei (Fijian) and earned two Blues playing for Oxford while studying for his MBA.

Following his retirement from playing, he has worked in various non-performance roles, including serving as a sports ambassador for the US Department of State.

Commenting on the hire, Rugby Section Chairman Paul Skurr remarked “HKFC Rugby is one of the most successful clubs in Asian rugby, and Andrew’s appointment is part of our initiative to be more organized off the pitch and to enhance our overall performance structure on the pitch.”

“He brings world-class knowledge in performance, which will elevate our women’s and men’s elite programs, and guide our youth towards representing HKFC in future Olympics and World Cups.”
